It’s official. There will be no season 3 for The OA.

Netflix has pulled the plug on the trippy drama starring Brit Marling after two seasons. The news comes four months after the sophomore season dropped on the streaming channel.

We are incredibly proud of the 16 mesmerizing chapters of The OA, and are grateful to Brit and Zal for sharing their audacious vision and for realizing it through their incredible artistry,” said Cindy Holland, VP of Original Content, Netflix.

“We look forward to working with them again in the future, in this and perhaps many other dimensions.”

The OA follows a young woman (Marling) who returns with mysterious new abilities and recruits five strangers for a secret mission seven years after vanishing from her home.
